Official 2022 HAWGSMOKE Commemorative Print

Every two years, A-10 Warthog teams from around the world congregate for a week long gunnery and bombing competion called, “HAWGSMOKE.” The competition is meant to determine which individual team and pilot is the Best of the Best within all of the United States Air Force, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve.
I was commissioned by the 190th Fighter Squadron, the host’s of the 2022 event to create the official commemorative print for the event.
The print is signed and carries the squadron patches of each of the 16 teams that participated in this years’ event. At the center is the image, “Thunder and Lightning” which depicts an A-10 of the 190th FS in combat over Afghanistan. The painting is based on an actual event where Skullbangar Hawgs flew a nighttime mission through a lightning storm to support troops on the ground. This is a rare, large format print with cool graphics and a dynamic image and is a ‘must have’ if you’re a fan of the Hawg! As they say in the Hawg community………ATTACK!!
