An Allegiant Airlines Airbus A320 makes a low level flyby of it’s birthplace near Mobile, Alabama. In May of 2018 Allegiant took delivery of their first U.S. built A321 at the Airbus Final Assembly facility near Mobile. This aircraft was the 11th of a total of 13 that Allegiant had ordered up to that date. Since then the Las Vegas based carrier has ordered dozens of new A320’s to add to their fleet as they phase out and retire their older MD-80’s. Allegiant plans to be an all Airbus fleet with nearly 100 aircraft planned to join the airline in the years to come.
