In August of 2017 Spirit Airlines became the newest Airline to take delivery of their first U.S. built Airbus
A320. The aircraft is shown flying by the Airbus Manufacturing Facility with the city of Mobile, Alabama in the distance. Founded in 1980 near Detroit and called, Charter One Airways, Spirit has grown to be the largest low cost carrier in the U.S. The Airline operates an all Airbus fleet of A320 and A321. Out of the many paintings commissioned to paint by Airbus for their Airline customers, this one is one of my favorites!
